VCRI is comprised of 20+ dedicated high school students around the Lower Mainland work to make a difference in our community through Service Above Self.

Secretariat Team

Our Secretariat Team are elected leaders of VCRI who actively pursue Service Above Self. They are in charge of organizing new events, encouraging member participation, and delegating responsibilities.

Alvin Li

President

Hey everyone! My name is Alvin, and I’m a Junior at West Point Grey Academy. I have always had an aptitude for creating an impact in the community, and Interact offered me the perfect opportunity to become deeply involved in the plethora of valuable and essential experiences needed. I am extremely honored to take on the role of club president this year. Otherwise, my main hobbies are playing basketball, swimming and maybe playing a video game here and there.

Leon Hong

Hey everyone! My name is Leon Hong and I’m a junior at Point Grey Secondary, I joined Interact since grade 9. I have always tried to contribute to my community. Interact offered me a great opportunity to reach my goals. I would like to improve my leadership skills and always keep socializing with more people. As the vice president, my goal is to do my best to help run the club and organize events! Outside the club, my hobbies are distance running, basketball, and games.

Michael Li

Hey everyone, I am Michael, a rising senior at Southpointe Academy who joined Interact at the start of my grade 11 school year. After my first few meetings, I felt attached to the voluntary work and the people I met at Rotary. As the rotary interact secretary for the upcoming year, I look forward to introducing new members to the club as we step on the journey of service above self. Other than Rotary, some of my hobbies consist of playing basketball, hanging out with friends, and watching anime.

Amy Shi

Hey! Here’s Amy Shi. I am currently studying in Point gray secondary school Grade 11. This year, I am the treasure of Rotary Interact and it is the second year of being a member of Rotary. It’s my pleasure to be one of the members and do volunteer work with every membership~

Joanna Fu

Hello! My name is Jia Yu Fu, but feel free to call me Joanna for convenience. I am currently a Grade 12 student at Crofton House School and joined this club last year through mutual friends. The arts have been a central and long term passion of mine since it allows me to express my imagination and wild ideas in any way, shape, or form I desire. I was given the chance to work as a designer for Rotary last year, which I am extremely fortunate about. I hope that I will be able to polish my skills creatively and be able to collaborate with many other creative minds to work together!

Tommy Tong

Hey everyone! My name is Tommy, a rising junior at Southpointe academy. I joined the Interact club during Covid. Rotary introduced me to the difficult challenges that people are facing around the community while also offering a chance for me to take action. After my first few meetings, I was immersed in the hopeful atmosphere and created strong bonds with the club members. In this upcoming year, I will try to work my hardest in helping assist the local community. Outside of the Interact club, I enjoy socializing with my friends, playing badminton, and playing video games.

Hey guys, my name is Ted Li, or you guys could call me Theodore or Harrison. I am a grade 11 student currently studying at Lord Byng Secondary. I joined Rotary last year through the introduction of my friend, as I want to contribute to my community. My goal in this club is to fund as many as I can in order to help those who are in need desperately. Moreover, I wish I could improve my social and leadership skills here by cooperating with my colleagues. Outside the club, I am a Social-nerd. My favorite after-school activities are reading news about politics and watching historical educational videos
